Welcome to our Bakery

Café Angorine

When I relocated to England back in 2019 with my boyfriend, Niklas - who plays the guitar in our band - I found myself on a quest for the perfect flour for my baking endeavors. Plain flour was in abundance at the local shops, but I was in search of something specific. After some diligent research, I struck a deal with a kind local baker who agreed to order extra supplies for me every month. On the first Monday of each month, I would wheel my trolley to the bakery to collect my precious cargo - a hefty 25 kg bag of flour. The journey from Bold Street to Gambier Terrace with my prized ingredient was always an adventure.

Today, I still feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to reside once more in my grandparents' garden alongside Niklas. My grandfather took the initiative to construct a stone oven just outside our doorstep, granting us the freedom to bake to our heart's content. Within our dwelling, we have established a quaint in-house bakery. Operating strictly at our leisure due to time constraints, we warmly invite all to our humble abode and garden when we do unlock our doors, inviting everyone to savor a delightful cappuccino alongside our freshly baked treats.

My passion for baking started when I was 8 years old, nurtured by the time spent with my grandparents. Even now my grandfather continues to bake bread for our extended family, a tradition that unites us all. I feel super good when receiving something homemade. My grandmother, creates the most irresistible cardamom and cinnamon buns that have become a neighborhood sensation. The joy of baking and sharing is my way of expressing love. Whether it's for my family, friends, or even strangers I wish to bond with, baking remains my love language.
